Silvia leads the Sustainability Strategy and Implementation practice at Cade Ops, partnering with operators and investors to design decarbonization and waste reduction strategies that drive business performance. She brings 15 years of experience at the intersection of supply chain operations, organizational transformation, and capital allocation. Most recently, as former Head of Sustainability for Amazon Operations North America, Silvia directed strategy and execution across a logistics network of more than 900 facilities. Under her leadership, the organization deployed capital into transport decarbonization and low-carbon materials while embedding sustainability metrics directly into standard governance and financial decision-making cadences. Silvia’s approach is rooted in her background as a front-line operator. Over a decade at Amazon, she advanced through the competitive Pathways Leadership Program, managing large-scale customer fulfillment centers, an 800-person technical support organization, and middle-mile logistics for Worldwide Alexa and Digital Devices. Leveraging this operational foundation, she built the Amazon Logistics sustainability function from the ground up, designing the investment frameworks and roadmaps required to execute complex ESG initiatives at a global scale. Prior to Amazon, she built her foundation in strategy consulting and economic research at Mesoamerica Investments and Observatorio del Desarrollo. Silvia holds an MBA and a Sustainability Certificate from MIT Sloan, where she was a Fulbright Scholar. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Costa Rica and completed an academic exchange at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität in Germany. Ultimately, her work demonstrates that successful decarbonization is not a standalone initiative, but an exercise in operational excellence.
